Version 1.6, effective 13 October 2026
This policy forms part of the SkeduloX Terms of Service. It sets out how to cancel a subscription and when a refund is paid.
Summary
- The free trial costs nothing. If you do not subscribe, nothing is ever charged.
- When you subscribe, the first month (or year) is paid straight away. If you subscribe during the trial, it starts when the trial ends.
- After the trial, cancelling needs one month's notice. Because you pay in advance, the period you have already paid for is that notice: no further charges are made, and you keep access until it ends.
- Partial periods are not refunded, except where this policy or the law provides otherwise.
- Billing errors are refunded in full.
1. Free trial
1.1 Every new workspace starts with a free trial of 7 days, or 14 days on Facility CMMS. No card is needed for the trial.
1.2 If you never subscribe, no charge is made at all.
1.3 If you subscribe during the trial, your first period is paid when you subscribe and starts when the trial ends. Cancelling after that works as in section 2: no further charges are made, and you keep access until the period you paid for ends.
1.4 We email a reminder before the trial ends if you have not yet subscribed.
2. How to cancel
2.1 The workspace owner cancels on the Billing page in the workspace, using Cancel subscription. The recurring payment at PayFast is stopped at once, and no further charges are made.
2.1A Cancellation requires one month's notice. Each billing period is paid in advance, so the month (or year) you have already paid for serves as your notice. You do not pay anything extra to cancel.
2.2 You may also cancel by email to contact@stackbou.co.za from the workspace owner's email address. We action an emailed cancellation within 1 business day.
2.3 The Billing page shows the cancellation and the date on which access ends.
3. Access after cancelling
3.1 Your workspace remains fully usable until the end of the period you have paid for.
3.2 After that, the workspace remains available read-only for 90 days, so that you can download your records. It may then be permanently deleted, as clause 7.4 of the Terms of Service sets out.
4. Monthly subscriptions
A monthly fee covers the month it is charged for. The remainder of a month already started is not refunded.
5. Annual subscriptions
5.1 An annual fee covers the year it is charged for. Unused months are not refunded, except as clauses 6, 7 and 8 provide.
5.2 Cancelling an annual subscription stops the next annual charge. You keep access until the end of the paid year.
6. Your rights under the law
6.1 Cooling-off period. If you are a natural person and you contracted with us electronically, section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 gives you the right to cancel within 7 days of concluding the agreement, without reason and without penalty. The free trial (at least 7 days) runs over the same period. Where you paid during that period and cancel within it, we refund the payment in full within 30 days.
6.2 Early cancellation of an annual subscription. Where section 14 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 applies to you, you may cancel an annual subscription before it ends on 20 business days' notice. We then refund the amount paid for the unexpired period, less a reasonable cancellation charge calculated as that section and its regulations permit.
6.3 Service not as described. Where SkeduloX is not provided to the standard section 54 of the Consumer Protection Act requires, you may require us to remedy the failure or to refund a reasonable portion of the fee paid.
6.4 Nothing in this policy limits a right you have under the Consumer Protection Act or ECTA.
7. Billing errors
7.1 We refund in full, with no deduction:
- a charge made after you cancelled;
- a duplicate charge; and
- a charge for more than the amount shown on your Billing page.
7.2 Report a billing error to contact@stackbou.co.za.
8. Features withdrawn
If we remove a core feature of your plan, you may cancel and receive a refund of the unused full months of any annual fee, as clause 3.2 of the Terms of Service sets out.
9. How refunds are paid
9.1 Refunds are paid to the card used for the payment, through PayFast. Where that is not possible, we refund by EFT to an account in your name.
9.2 Refunds are paid within 30 days of being agreed.
9.3 We carry any fee PayFast charges for processing a refund.
10. Plan changes, users and storage
10.1 A downgrade takes effect at the end of the current paid period. The lower fee applies from your next charge.
10.2 Removing extra users or extra storage lowers your next charge. The current period is not refunded.
10.3 Pro-rata charges for an upgrade, extra users or extra storage during a paid period pay for the rest of that period. They are not refunded if you later reduce or cancel, except under clauses 6 and 7.
11. Failed payments
11.1 We charge no fee for a failed payment.
11.2 While a payment remains unpaid, the workspace is read-only. We try the card again once a day, up to four attempts in all. Restart the subscription with a card on the Billing page to restore full access at once.
12. Enterprise subscriptions
Cancellation and refunds for an Enterprise subscription follow the signed Enterprise agreement. Where it is silent, this policy applies.
